Jocelyn Ehlers – Support Coordinator for Taylor Made Outcomes
Jocelyn is originally from Canada where she completed an Undergraduate degree in Psychology and Sociology (honours). After visiting Australia over 5 times throughout her life and falling in love with the country and its support services, Jocelyn decided to formally migrate to Australia. Jocelyn is passionate about continuing to grow her education and understanding in the mental health world and intends to complete her Master of Psychology.
Jocelyn places significant value on the core items in the disability and mental health field including person-centred approaches. This encompasses ensuring that the individual participant always remains the focus of any work and support implemented, to ensure they are in control of their own lives. In addition, Jocelyn believes in holistic approaches catering to individuals’ strengths and passions.
Jocelyn has a passion for mental health and has worked extensively in this area in her home country and has volunteered with individuals living with both intellectual disabilities, psychosocial disabilities and in aged care facilities to gather a broader understanding of peoples lives.
Outside of work, Jocelyn is passionate about plants and is excited to discover all of Australia’s natural world. Jocelyn is grateful and excited to be a part of the Taylor Made Outcomes team.
